The Mexico 5 Pesos Banknote was issued by the Bank of Mexico in 1971 as part of the Fourth Issues . It has a color combination of black, brown, and green. The obverse side shows a stylized eagle eating a snake as a registration device, and La Corregidora, Josefa Ortiz de Dominguez. On the reverse side is the bank seal, a yucca plant, an aqueduct, houses, a church in Queraro, a stylized eagle eating a snake, and the bank guilloche. The note does not contain any security thread or watermark. It measures 157 x 67 mm and is signed by Alfonso Romo and Ortiz de Dominguez. This banknote is part of the Series 1X and is in uncirculated condition. It has also been TAP authenticated with a grade of 60-70.
