This used 5 Peruvian sol de oro note is a standard circulation note issued by the Central Reserve Bank of Peru as part of the sol de oro series printed by Thomas de la Rue. It is a green, orange, and yellow banknote that is dated 9 September 1971, bear the signatures of Executive President Emilio G. Barreto Bermeo and Director Jorge Viale Solari, and measures 155 mm x 65 mm. Its obverse side features Inca Pachacutec, ancient pottery vases, and the coat of arms of Peru. Its reverse side depicts the rock walls of Fortaleza de Sacsahuaman (Sachsahuaman Fortress) in Cusco. Though the note does not have a watermark, it has a solid security thread.
