The Afghanistan 500 Afghanis Banknote was issued by the Afghanistan Bank in 1979. It has a color combination of green, brown, and blue. Its obverse bears Arabic text and features the Afghanistan Bank seal depicting horsemen, a pair of cornucopia, and ancient coins. It also shows men on horses while playing Afghanistan's national sport, the buzkashi. On the reverse is the High Fortress (Bala Hissar) in Kabul. The banknote does not have a watermark but bears a solid security thread. The note measures 150 x 66 mm and is in uncirculated condition. Additionally, it has been TAP authenticated with a grade of 60-70.
