The Burundi 10,000 Francs is part of the banknote series issued in 2013 with a pick number P-49b. This banknote comes in uncirculated condition and is TAP authenticated. The obverse depicts Prince Louis Rwagasore and President Melchior Ndadaye. It also displays a holographic bird patch. The banknotes reverse features three students sitting on desks with paper and pencils. An Igiseke which is a lidded presentation basket is also displayed. The 150 x 75 mm paper bill bears a windowed security thread with a demetallized 10000. Its watermark includes a cattle, an electrotype 10000, and Cornerstones. Furthermore, it bears the signatures of Melchoir Wagara and Jean Gaspard Ciza.
