Its obverse side shows silhouettes of people standing in line, the Bank of Guyana logo, the 50th independence anniversary logo, and the map of Guyana. Its reverse side shows a giant waterlily (Victoria amazonica), a tree branch, the map on the flag, and flying doves. Security features include a repeating serial number, a windowed security thread with demetalized GUYANA 50, and a watermark of a red macaw head with an electrotype 50 and Cornerstones.
