The India 500 Rupees Banknote was issued by the Reserve Bank of India in 2015. The banknote has hints of brown yellow green and purple. Featured on its obverse are Mahatma Gandhi, The lion capital of Ashoka pillar, and the RBI seal with a tiger and a palm tree. The reverse of the note depicts a language panel, the statue of Mahatma Gandhi leading the nation by Gyarah Muti at Mother Teresa Crescent in New Delhi. The note comes with a 3-mm wide green-to -blue windowed security thread with demetallized text. It also has a watermark that reveals an electrotype 500, Mahatma Gandhi, a vertical RBI, and 500. The note measures 168 x 73 mm and is signed by Raghuram Rajan. This particular banknote has a letter E plate and is in uncirculated condition. Additionally, the note has been TAP authenticated with a grade of 60-70.
