This uncirculated 10 Nigerian naira banknote is dated 2011 and signed by Central Bank of Nigeria Governor Sanusi Lamido Sanusi and Director of Currency Operations Muhammad Nda. The red note has a six-digit serial number and dimensions of 130 mm x 12 mm. Its obverse side features Alvan Ikoku, a Nigerian educationist and statesman who pioneered the idea of a uniform educational system in Nigeria, and the Central Bank of Nigeria logo. Its reverse side features the map of Nigeria, the Nigerian coat of arms, and two Fulani milk maids carrying bowls on their heads. Because the note is printed on a polymer substrate, it does not have a security thread. However, it has a CBN watermark.
