The 1995 Omani rial banknote is a purple note that was demonetized in 2019. It measures 146 mm long and 76 mm wide. The obverse side features the coat of arms, a portrait of Sultan Qaboos bin Said, and the Sultan Qaboos Sports Stadium. The reverse side features three dhows on stilts, a sheathed khanjar, and jewelry. The note has a solid security thread and a watermark of the Sultan.
