The Oman 10 Rials banknote is part of the 2000 series that is similar to previous issues in design but has an added holographic security stripe and new dates. The banknote is largely brown but with shades of blue, yellow and green. It measures 160 x 76 mm and with a Paper Money Guaranty grade of 66. The obverse side features Sultan Qaboos bin Said, the longest-serving leader in the Middle East, with the Salalah Tower and palm trees in the background. The reverse side shows the Muttrah Fort, a small observation and defensive weapons facility, right above a city and an adjacent harbor.
