The Saudi Arabia 20 Rial from 1999 was issued to commemorate the 100-year anniversary of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The obverse side features a portrait of King Abdul Aziz and the Quba Mosque in Medina. The reverse side features the centenary logo, a holographic patch, and the Jabal an-Nour, also known as the Mountain of Light, near the city of Mecca. The note is 152 x 69 mm in size and is equipped with a Solid security thread and windowed Starwide security thread with demetalized Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority in Arabic text to enhance its security features. Placing the note under UV light would show an image of King Abdul Aziz with electrotype 20.
