The Suriname 5 Gulden banknote is part of the Central Bank of Surinames 1963 issues. It comes in a color combination of blue and bluish-gray. Featured on the obverse is a torch with the 1963 banner and a woman with a basket full of fruits and vegetables on her head. The back of the paper bill depicts the coat of arms of Suriname showing two native Indians with bows and arrows, and a shield with a sailing ship, a star, and a palm tree. The banknote is 152 x 66 mm in size and has no security thread. It has a watermark that shows a parrots head. Additionally, the banknote bears the signature of bank president Victor Max de Miranda. This banknote is in uncirculated condition.
