The Zaire 500 Nouveaux Zaires Specimen banknote is part of the 1994 issues. It is dark olive green in color and measures 160 x 80 mm. The obverse side shows a leopard, Mobutu Sese Seko in uniform with a cap, and the coat of arms. The reverse side features the Banque du Zaire buildings with the plaza and bank initials. This banknote uses a windowed security thread with demetalized REPUBLIQUE DU ZAIRE and contains a watermark with a Mobutu Sese Seko design.
