The Cape Verde 2,500 Escudos Banknote was issued by the Bank of Cape Verde in 1989. Its obverse features Amilcar Cabral. The reverse depicts the Palacio da Assembleia Nacional Popular (Palace of the National Assembly) building and the national flag. It also shows the coat of arms of Cape Verde and an ear of corn. The banknote contains a solid security thread with printed BCV and a watermark that reveals Amilcar Cabral. The green banknote is 150 x 67 mm in size and signed by Amaro Alexandre da Luz and Pedro Rodrigues Pires. This particular banknote is in uncirculated condition and has been TAP authenticated with a grade of 60-70.
