The Madagascar 5,000 Francs Banknote comes from the 1994-1998 issues that features the 8-digit serial number and 1-letter prefix which advances alphabetically overtime. This banknote is predominantly violet in color, measures 155 x 76 mm and with a Paper Money Guaranty grade of 69. The front side shows a Malagasy boy with men that are cutting sugar canes in the background, along with a man driving zebu cattle that are pulling a cart, baobab trees, and palm fronds. The back side shows lemurs that are perched on branches of trees, along with birds, moon moths (Argema mittrei), and sea shells. This banknote has a solid security thread and a watermark that bears a zebu cattle head.
