The Democratic Republic of Congo 500 Francs with a pick number P-96s was issued in 2002 -2004. Its obverse features two men with pans and a man with a pick ax searching for diamonds. A superimposed image of a diamond is also shown. The obverse also depicts the Central Bank of Congos monogram logo on the center while on the right are three diamonds arranged vertically. The reverse of the banknote illustrates diamond mining in a narrow valley with a river, trees, and a building. The 150 x 70 mm banknote has a solid security thread with a demetalized REP DEM DU CONGO and an okapis head watermark. Additionally, it has a registration device in the form of a diamond with a 5-tipped star. This particular specimen banknote has been given a grade of 66 by the Paper Money Guaranty./p>
