Mexico 1,000 Pesos Banknote, 1984, P-81a.6, UNC, Series VW

This uncirculated 1,000 Mexican peso banknote is a standard circulation banknote issued by the Bank of Mexico as part of the 1984 VW series. It is a brown, green, purple, and red banknote that is dated 30 October 1984, bears the signature of Gonzalo Garcia Rodriguez, and measures 157 mm x 67 mm. Its obverse side features Sor Juana Ines de la Cruz, a Mexican writer who was nicknamed The Tenth Muse, with her hand on an open book. Its reverse side portrays the Plaza de Santo Domingo in Mexico City. Though this banknote does not have a watermark, it has a solid security thread and an inkwell and quill on the watermark area.
